Midcoast Printmakers offer Second Cabin Fever Printmaking Workshop Saturday April 18.

The Midcoast Printmakers are pleased to announce that from 10 AM until 4 PM on Saturday April 18. People of all ages are invited to come and try their hand at making Monotypes. Juicy color and spontaneity often results in fantastic prints which are suitable for framing or sending as flat art.

Debra Arter, the instructor, has been making monotypes for many years and had led workshops at Maine College of Art and Centre Street Gallery besides her extensive Adult Education offerings. Parents or grandparents may bring children or grandchildren with them for a generational art experience. All materials are supplied. Healthy snacks as well as tea and coffee will be in abundance. You will want to bring all your friends for this exciting opportunity. Participants may choose to do one 3 hour session for $40 ( either morning or afternoon) or stay for the whole 6 hrs. for $70. Space is limited so you will want to call early to reserve a spot. You may call 563- 7100 for details or questions.

Midcoast Printmakers are offering 3 classes for adults or children to make little books using the printing press. Classes will be Monday, February 16 , 10:30-12:30 or 1-3 PM; or Thursday, Feb. 19 1-3 at the Studio at 648 Main St., Damariscotta. $25 includes all materials and instruction for at least 2 ”booklets”. Midcoast Printmakers, Inc. is having a second Sunday gathering to share ideas, techniques, and innovative ideas. Sunday, April 13 from 1-3 pm, printmakers and interested people are invited to come for a demonstration of one of the many printmaking methods that are offered at the Studio at 648 Main St. (Bus. Experimental Monotyping

Monotyping Class
Midcoast Printmakers, Inc. is beginning a new series of classes featuring experimental monotypes on Fridays, 9 am to 12 noon starting March 14. Kay Miller will be teaching at the new studio located at 648 Main St. in Damariscotta. The class will feature the addition and subtraction methods along with using plants and other “found stuff”.
Fee: $40 includes three hours of instruction plus all materials.

There is still space in Holly Berry’s linocut relief printing class on Mondays 3:45 pm-6:15 pm and on Thursdays 10 am-1 PM.
